This unique Palmer shelf support is brand new, and not yet introduced in our 2011 price list…however, we are now making it available…please call for pricing. It is compatible with our Decorative Collar (C), Tapered Foot (T), Bun Foot (B), and Ball Foot (BL) models.
The washstand legs are uninterrupted (not cut), and pass directly through a hole in the glass or stone shelf. Our standard decorative collar (used on our Decorative Collar model) is actually machined in half, and the bottom half of this collar is used to support the weight of your shelf at any desired height above the floor, and the top half of the collar is used as a decorative cover plate to conceal the hole in the glass. The shelf is effectively “sandwiched” between the top and bottom halves of this collar, and has the appearance of a floating installation. The design of the split decorative collar is perfectly consistent with our more traditional styles of washstands listed above.
Notes:
- Palmer does not supply any shelf other than our metal TS towel shelf, which is not compatible with this option. Glass, stone, and other materials are customer supplied.
- Palmer standard drawings detail the height of the split collar shelf support as 10” to the underside of the shelf.
