Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the purpose of a console leg system?
It allows the customer to support a marble or granite sink top of their choice with no limits as to color, size or shape.
2. What sizes do they come in?
Standard sizes are for a 24" x 36" single sink top or a 24" x 72" double sink top, BUT...standard sizes may be easily cut smaller on the job and custom sizes are readily available.
3. What finishes are available?
Standard finishes are polished nickel, satin nickel, polished chrome, polished (unlacquered) brass and oil-rubbed bronze.
4. How do I care for the finish?
Please
5. How are they shipped?
All units are partially assembled and ship UPS anywhere. Average weight is 22 lbs.
6. Do the legs support the sink, completely, by themselves?
No, you must use additional wall support for the sink top, such as angle iron or wood blocking. These additional supports are not supplied with the leg consoles.
7. Are the legs screwed into the marble tops?
No, you can either drill a small 3/16" diameter hole in the marble to accept an alignment pin in the top of the leg, or you can secure it with a silicone & self adhesive tape supplied with each unit.
Also, see question 8.
8. What if I have a china sink?
We have a model LS2C/C or LS2/C which has no rear risers and works great for any china sink that can be wall mounted.
9. Is the marble top in any danger of cracking where it rests on the legs?
We supply a tube of silicone which is applied to the top of the leg where it comes in contact with the marble. Besides acting as an adhesive to anchor the top to the leg, it also serves as a cushion to prevent stress at this point.
10. What shade is your oil rubbed
bronze finish available in?
We can make this finish in a Light, Medium or Dark patina.
Standard finishing is Medium. Please specify
otherwise.
11. Do you offer a warranty on
your product?
Yes. The parts are warrantied for life against
mechanical failure, when properly installed and used.
Chrome and Nickel finishes carry a lifetime warranty for
residential use and 1-year for commercial use.
Unlacquered Brass, Oil-Rubbed Bronze and any custom or
lacquered finish are not warrantied.
12. How do your acrylic rods
compare to glass?
Acrylic is stronger, clearer and safer than glass. It
can be polished if scratched, will never break and could be
cut to size in the field, if needed. In addition, we
use only cell-cast acrylic, made in the USA. Cell-cast
acrylic is much stronger than extruded or "continuous cast"
and does not suffer from the impurities found in many
imported cell-cast pieces.
